ANU - Friends’ School Visit

Reps from ANU will be visiting the Friends’ Senior School on Thursday at 1 pm. This is your ​chance to hear about the uni, and accommodation and have any questions you have answered. ​This opportunity is open to any student in Year 10, 11 or 12.

We will meet in room W211! Bring your lunch and come with a question to ask!

UTAS OPEN DAY

Over the next three weeks UTAS is opening its campuses for school students.

If you're currently in year 11 or 12, or recently finished school, the School Leaver Expo can ​help you find your path to uni. Join the friendly staff and students who are happy to answer ​all your questions about courses, scholarships, accommodation, and applying.

Low ATAR Course Options at ​Australian Universities

Is your predicted ATAR low and you’d love to go to university, but you’re stressing that you ​won’t receive an offer to your dream course?

Well, we have good news for you. There are more courses than ever being offered by Australian ​universities that have low ATAR requirements.

Here are just a few examples:

• Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences at La Trobe University – 46.45 was the ​lowest rank to receive an offer for this course in 2023.
  
• Bachelor of Animation at Swinburne University requires a minimum ATAR of 53 to be ​eligible for an offer.
  
• Entry to Deakin University’s Bachelor of Forensic Science is possible with an ATAR of 50.14.
  
• Federation University made offers to their Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood ​Education) to applicants with an ATAR of 36.15.
  
• The Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science is an option at Australian Catholic University if ​you have an ATAR of 57.35 and above.
  
• The Bachelor of Environmental Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast only ​requires an ATAR of 50.7.
  

So if you are keen to pursue a career in almost any field imaginable but you are expecting or ​receive a low ATAR, remember there are still plenty of courses that you could receive an offer ​for.

Applications for the Activity Assistant program in the UK in 2025 remain open until the end ​of September 2024. This program has grown hugely in popularity; this year there are over ​150 participants and we expect this to be over 200 in 2025.
